Another day of sunshine in fly fishing paradise ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The rivers continue to remain low/clear due to the lack of rain which makes the fishing tough going for some and especially for those who haven't fished here in a while.

A group of customers popped in this morning and mentioned they had not fished the region since last year whilst the river was in flood mode.

They were amazed to see how low/clear the Tongariro is at present, so asked what our approach has been for nymphing and wetlining. We recommended using small/natural nymphs paired with a weighted nymph, or size 10 wooly bugger/rabbit flies.

Now, it may seem like a broken record to those who read our reports near daily ๐Ÿ˜… but we simply cannot reiterate it enough. If you're having trouble, try something different whether it's a change of fly/location/leader length etc.ย
