Bridget is a shop regular and frequents the Tongariro river most weekends, she is always improving her fishing and expanding her skillset. Yesterday she purchased a RIO InTouch Skagit Trout Spey (Shooting Head) with Guideline Comp Line running line, then booked in some casting tuition with Peter Carty. This morning she came in with a big smile on her face and gave us the details about the first fish caught on her new gear during sunrise.

Tarn was out with his Winston Micro Spey 11ft #4 and sent out some home ties and losing a few as you do 😅 but got a fighting-fit mini chrome to the net as a consolation prize. Adam who was fishing nearby was doing the same with his Redington Chromer spey rod and brought some fantastic fish to the bank.
Shop Dad has been getting it done using his Rio Fathom Sink 6 fly line and most likely an olive woolly bugger 😀 a staple item in his fly box.
