The fishing reports have been coming in this morning of fresh fish after the recreational release yesterday. Most of the reported fish were caught swinging with olive wooly buggers in the afternoon yesterday.
The last couple of days fishing I have caught some great looking fish in the upper reaches of the Tongariro nymphing. Remember not to wade through the fish as I suggest fishing at your feet first as there are sometimes browns lurking on the shallower edges.
