Tongariro River Flow: 31.0m3/sec

Weather: Mostly sunny with a high of 17 degrees, light winds

The last couple of days have had some beautiful blue-sky weather, things are definitely starting to warm up as summer draws near! During an evening wander down to the major jones pool yesterday, I was struck by how alive and green things have gotten in such a short space of time. There was a heap of bird and bug activity with many fish seen taking from the surface. Spring is a lovely time of year!

Here at Sporting Life, we have recently done a large restock of all things fly-tying material, including marabou, dubbing and chenilles! The wall is certainly looking very colourful so get in store to stock up :)

Tongariro regular John with a nice, big shouldered jack. Fish like this holding a bit of colour are common at this time of year and are often hungry to take a fly in order to put on some condition post spawn.
