Morning Rain Showers & Mist
Heavy rain/wind is on the horizon for the Central Plateau and with that we expect the waterways to rise along with the number of fresh chrome we all seem to enjoy on the end of a line! The heavy rain is due to arrive this Wednesday and intensify by Thursday, so we will keep watch over the forecast to see how this weekend turns out - but in the meantime put on a rain jacket and get out there!
Yesterday morning there was a bit of frost covering the car and clouds were rolling in so I knew it was going to be a long day in the cold 🥶 so I decided to change things up and fish a deep run from a ledge which kept my feet out of the water and provided a challenge when it came to landing the fish.
After having morning tea with the rest of the team at Sporting Life (an excuse to warm up) I headed back to the river via mountain bike and caught up with Neil (Shop Dad) who was pulling fish throughout the pool using natural nymph variants and egg patterns.
