But yolks aside, Easter has passed and now we look forward to ANZAC weekend which should be another cracker !

Karen had a successful time spey fishing the Tongariro over Easter weekend - night and day! Bringing in a couple of stunning browns and good fighting rainbows.
Reports indicate that natural and small is the way for successful nymphing. Black/olive buggers/rabbit flies for spey or wet-lining. It is currently overcast with periods of rain but nothing to change the Tongariro river flow which has been sitting around 20cumec and running clear – with hope the rain which is forecast for Thursday/Friday will arrive.
The river mouths are fishing well, Boobies and Heaves & Leaves being the flies of choice.
