Plenty of fish around!! The fishing has been red hot as of late with many customers giving reports of large amounts of fish throughout the river. It seems there are still plenty of fresh, fat fish running through! As to be expected there are now many post spawn fish in the river too. These fish are very eager to eat a fly and can be lots of fun to sight fish with a dry/ dropper rig.
Trolling and jigging has started to really pick up with this warmer weather too. Many boaties have had some awesome bluebird days on the water hooking into plenty of fish on smelt fly imitations such as a grey ghost fly.
We have recently done a restock of fly hooks including Kamasan and Black Magic, get instore or online so you're well prepared for some fly tying moving into summer!
