The Tongariro river flow seems to have risen this morning with many anglers coming in and saying there is some colour to the river and look to have some great fishing when the flow drops.
I have had some great fishing the last couple of afternoons when I have gotten out after work seeing a good mix of both fresh and coloured fish. My most common flies I have been using at the moment is the Category Three Flashback Pheasant Tail #14 or a Hare & Copper CTB #14. I have been using any stonefly pattern as my bomb as well.
